Dense Urban Environment & High Winds: Located in a high-density neighborhood in Shanghai, this compact single-family home required a complete roof retrofit. The region experiences annual typhoon seasons with severe wind gusts and torrential rain. The homeowner wanted to achieve energy independence but had very limited roof space. They needed a heavy-duty solution that offered absolute structural security without looking like a bulky industrial add-on in a residential area.
Custom Skylight Integration: The architectural design included a massive custom glass sunroom/skylight cutting directly into the roofline, presenting a complex waterproofing challenge for any solar installation.

Maximum Protection in a Small Footprint: The Storm Guard series was the ultimate fit for this urban retrofit. Its robust, vertical interlocking design (reminiscent of premium standing seam metal roofs) provides superior wind-uplift resistance against typhoons while rapidly shedding heavy rain.
