Retrofitting an Existing Roof: This project represents one of our proud early milestones—a pilot BIPV retrofit for an urban villa. The challenge was to upgrade an existing, complex traditional roof with solar power without resorting to bulky, elevated BAPV racks. At this early stage of BIPV technology, the goal was to successfully adapt modular solar panels to sit as flush as possible alongside standard roofing tiles, ensuring long-term structural safety and waterproofing.

Laying the Groundwork for the Future: We designed a custom metal batten substructure (visible in our construction logs) to securely anchor the solar modules into the existing roofline. While this pioneer installation features a slight transitional seam compared to our current, perfectly flush Lumina Slate series, it successfully achieved a low-profile, integrated aesthetic.
Time-Tested Durability: More importantly, as demonstrated by our rigorous onsite water-spray testing, the system’s waterproofing remains flawless. This early 10kW pilot project continues to reliably generate clean energy today, standing as a testament to our enduring engineering quality and continuous product evolution.
